Receiving the Meat and Wine

The primary consecration officer drinks some of the blessed wine and receives a portion of the meat to take home. Through the drinking of the wine and receipt of the meat, the principal consecration officer receives the blessings from the ceremony. As this occurs, the dancers have stopped in the background and hold their pheasant feather perfectly vertical and crossing it with the reed pipe, holding this position for the remainder of the ceremony. Upon drinking the wine and receiving the meat, the sacrifice is complete. The only things left to complete the ceremony is to clear the feast, escort the spirits from the temple, and burn the prayer and silk.
