People seemed very interested in general, but also skeptical of Second Life due to perceived privacy issues. Sean Connin from NITLE payed our land a visit last week and we had a good discussion right in Second Life about how Hamilton College is trying to use Second Life for course projects.
I'm going to be talking more about academic use of Second Life at an online NITLE event called Teaching with Virtual Worlds (http://www.nitle.org/www/events/854). On Monday, Nov. 24 in Burke 001, I'll be presenting this presentation at a hands on session entitled "Authentic Learning in a Virtual World" for faculty here at Hamilton.
So, hopefully I will get some more interest and good questions here as well as at Bard!
