IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, MOST MERCIFUL, MOST GRACIOUS. GLORY BE THE GREAT ALLAH, BOW AND RESPECT TO HIS APOSTLE.

Dear brethren and sisters!

These days the whole Soviet nation with the peoples of Central Asian Republics and Kazakhstan are preparing to commemorate solemnly the important event in the history of the Soviet state — the 60th anniversary of establishing sovereign Soviet Socialist Republics in the Soviet East: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tadjikistan, Kirghizia, and Turkmenia.

The October Revolution of 1917 established the people’s power in our country, had opened to the Soviet peoples, to the whole mankind a new era - era of freedom and equality of all nations and nationalities irrespective of their confession, language, and colour of skin, liberated suppressed for ages peoples from the tzar autocracy and local biys’ (landowners) domination. It is said in the Holy Quran:

“Verily never will God change the condition of a people until they change it themselves (With their own souls), 13/11.

Covered by the peoples of Central Asia and Kazakhstan path for the years of the Soviet power will go in the history of mankind as a glorious path of struggle for a happy and prosperious life. In this noble and sacred fight, you may find a part of every Soviet man, therefore the jubilee is a general festive occasion.

Allah the Almighty had created mankind from Adam, and we all are his sons and daughters. Allah the Great in His messages calls people to friendship and cooperation in good. Therefore, peoples of the Soviet East, relying upon the disinterested help of all Soviet peoples, for a brief historical period, managed to gain unprecedented successes in all spheres of life: from poverty, darkness, and lawlessness, they could reach the heights of the modern civilization and social justice. There is a great contribution of Muslim believers in colossal achievements of the USSR Central Asian Republics. Therefore, I call on you, brothers and sisters to ask the Most High in your prayers that He may reward those our brethren who, carefully protecting and developing their religious wealth, enjoying freedom of belief guaranteed by the USSR Constitution and that of all sovereign Union Republics, took and are taking part in building a new society — society of equality and prosperity for all its members. Muslims were active participants of establishing collective farms, in the country’s industrialization, heroically fought during the Great Patriotic War against the fascist hordes, selflessly worked in ranks of those who rehabilitate destroyed by the war economy and provided further progress of the socialist homeland. Thousands of our brothers and sisters were decorated with orders and medals of the Soviet Union for their feats of labour and heroism during the war. So high our Fatherland evaluated outstanding merits of Muslims, which inspires them for new feats of labour. May Allah send them power for further creative labour for the well-being of the Soviet Fatherland. The active participation of Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan in the struggle for peace all over the world deserves every praise. They stand resolutely for the peaceful settlement of all international problems, they are for peaceful Space and for stopping the arms race, nuclear one in particular.

Muslims of the region fully support all peaceful initiatives by the Soviet state. They display serious concern regarding the aggravation of the international situation caused by the present US Administration which is increasing more and more allocations for mad plans of Pentagon and matures frantic idea of turning Space into nuclear firing ground in order to threaten the whole world, sovereignty and independence pf peoples in Asia, Africa and especially in the Near and Middle East. Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan are connected with peoples of the Near and Middle East both with traditional ties and religious convictions as well as by a joint struggle against imperialism, zionism, and rasism. They are principal in their positions to defend aspirations and wishes of the Arab peoples, the Palestinian in particular, waging just struggle for creating its state, to denounce the aggressive policy of zionism pursued by Israel and imperialist forces supporting it, and express solidarity with the peoples of Lebanon striving for peace and tranquillity.

During their joyful and remarkable festive occasion, Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan wish to all world’s Muslims further socio-economic and cultural prosperity and sincerely pray for their wellbeing and successes in further consolidating their independence and souvereignty in the struggle against imperialism and international zionism.

May Allah send all Muslims successes in gaining noble creative objectives and solving all tasks in the public and religious life. Amen.
