CPSCI 105-01: Making the Web Speak

Groupwork
Part 3

May 8, 2007

Overview

The final component of your Groupwork this semester is a presentation to the client webmasters. The presentations will be held during the time scheduled for the final examination in this course, namely, 9:00 a.m.–noon on Tuesday, May 8.

Details

Each presentation will be about 10 minutes long (approximately 3 minutes for each group member). The presentation must cover the following:

  1. overall conclusions about the client's website,
  2. an explanation of the measurement instrument(s) used,
  3. a talk-through of one of the audited pages, explaining how the measurement was applied and how to read the suggestions for improvement
  4. a brief look at each of the redesigned pages and a quick explanation of the way(s) in which each is an improvement on the original page

A different student should handle each of the first three topics. The fourth topic should be done by all of you, with each student discussing his or her page redesign.

The first presenter (overall conclusions) should explain how your group's website is organized and provide a quick demo of navigating your pages, being sure to point out where your page redesigns are located.

You will meet with your group to decide who will be responsible for what. Keep notes on this meeting (or these meetings) in your blog.
