CPSCI 105-01: Making the Web Speak

Homework 12

due: May 1, 2007

Do these tasks before the next class meeting.

  1. Meet with your group to determine which page on your client website each of you will redesign. The only constraints in choosing pages are as follows: Each individual must redesign a different page, and if your client website uses any forms, at least one of the redesigned pages must contain a form. In your redesign, you want to preserve the look and feel of the client page as much as possible while at the same time making the page more accessible and more usable.
  2. Update your blog with a meeting summary entry.
  3. Using the template and strategy that your group has developed, audit two of "your" webpages. Make sure that your audit page contains a hyperlink to the web page that it's discussing. You will be asked to give a demo of your work to the class on Tuesday.
  4. Update your blog with an accessibility/usability entry. This entry should discuss one of the Jakob Nielsen articles in the assigned reading for Tuesday. (Of course, you should read all the assigned articles.)
