CPSCI 105: Explorations in Computer Science

Today we'll have our usual Thursday quiz, so don't start working on the following until you've completed the quiz.

Target

1. Open the Firefox browser.
2. In the menu bar at the top of the browser window, select the Tools menu, and then select the Options … item. This will bring up the Options dialog box.
3. In the Options dialog box, click on the Content icon at the top. You'll see a list of checkboxes. Uncheck the Load images checkbox.
4. Click on the OK button at the bottom of the box.
5. Open a new browser window. In the address bar of the browser, enter the address of the Target website, http://www.target.com.
6. Now, open the Internet Explorer browser (not Firefox!). Direct it to the Target website.
7. Now wait for everyone else to catch up. While you're waiting, take a look at the source code for the website. (Use Firefox for this.) In the menu bar at the top of the Firefox browser window, select the View menu, and then select the Page source item.
