The Lab 1 description has been updated to include only the stuff we covered in the lab part of class yesterday. Use it to prepare for tomorrow's quiz. The quiz may also contain some general questions about operating systems and UNIX from the lecture part of class.

Some new reading for tomorrow (Tuesday) has been posted on the course and reading schedule. The reading is available online and is password protected. You should already have received a username and password via email.

A brief assignment, Homework 1, has been posted. It is due before 5:00 p.m. on Monday. You can do it from any of the computer labs on campus (or from your own computer, if you have one).
