CPSCI 107: Applications, Implications, and Issues

Homework 9

due: February 24, 2006

Text and Font Properties

Using your XHTML template, create a new file in your hw directory named hw9.html. In this file, create examples of text using each of the properties you're assigned below. (Make sure that each property being used is clearly indicated.) For properties that take a keyword as a value, supply an example for each keyword. For properties that take arbitrary values, give an example for each of a few different values.

For this assignment, put your CSS declarations in the head section of your HTML document. Make sure that both your XHTML and CSS code validate before testing your document.

Test your document in Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, and Opera. In the document, create a table displaying your findings (i.e., saying whether the property is supported, and if it appears to function correctly in that browser). Make sure that your document still validates for XHTML and CSS after your table has been added to it.

Post a link to your hw9.html file on your warp homepage. You'll give a demo of your page in class on Friday.
