These are simple examples. As the Section 508 example indicates, however, simplicity does not imply a lack of importance.

This approach has further applications. Writing XML is easy—it’s the ontology that’s hard. Creating accessible web content is a start. Students learn to create semantic classes based on the logical structure of a document; they only secondarily apply style to these classes. If well-done, these classes map directly onto elements in an XML application.
