Dear Dr. Jin:
I am pleased to have this opportunity to express my best
wishes as you are honored by the Carnegie Foundation for the
Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support
of Education as the Outstanding Baccalaureate Colleges Professor of
the Year. While I regret not being able to offer my best wishes in
person, I am glad to add my congratulations to those of your family,
friends, and colleagues at this special time.
The President and I believe the education of our children and
the training of our work force should be among the very highest or
our nation's priorities. You deserve praise for your outstanding
accomplishment and for your continued efforts to educate our nation's
young people. There is no more essential role in our society than
that of teacher and counselor, and I appreciate you efforts.
Once again, please accept my congratulations and my warmest
hopes for you success in the future.
Sincerely,
(Signiture)
