• Multimedia course development (De Bao Xu, Hamilton College): how to use Hamilton Multimedia Templates to create listening comprehension, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar notes, video-text interaction, and other learning activities.
• Interaction between instructor and student in web-based courses (Tianwei Xie, California State University at Long Beach): virtual office hours and asynchronic communication of multimedia homework submitted electronically.
• Web-course design and development (Robert Smitheram, CET at Middlebury College): how to prepare and convert Chinese documents for the web, how to get dynamic HTML pages in Chinese to display properly; how to transition to the new Unicode standard for character coding in the web.
