Please note that the deadline for non-U.S. participants (e.g., Europe, Asia, etc.) to submit papers/presentations is 1/31/2008.

You are cordially invited to submit a one page abstract for a 20-minute paper/presentation. Please be prepared
for a full sized paper to be included in the Conference Proceedings when you submit your abstract.
The due date for the full sized paper is March 1, 2008. Please use the TCLT5 Stylesheet to prepare your full sized paper.

Registration is required. Because the space for workshops is limited, the conference will accept applicants on a first come

first serve basis except for presenters. Early on-line registration is recommended. Please be aware that there is a registration

fee of $100 for both presenters and participants which will be used to offset the cost for meals and other conference expenses.

Subsidies

For participants who present papers (demonstrations), the conference will provide

(1) Up to $300 for airfare and lodging (Asia $100; Europe $200; North America $300)
(2) $100 for lodging
(3) Materials for the conference and workshops including the Conference Proceedings, and
(4) All meals during the conference

For participants who do not present papers (demonstrations), the conference will provide all meals during the conference and

the materials for the conference and workshops including the Conference Proceedings.

Travelling to Hong Kong and Macau (provided by Qiao Gao, Oakland University)

For people holding a Chinese passport:

To go to Hong Kong:
If only making a transition at Hong Kong, one doesn't need a visa or permit of entry and can stay up to 7 days.

To go to Macau:
If one doesn't belong to the 53 country and region (including the US) visa-free list, one can always apply for a visa

To facilitate participants' traveling from the U.S. to Macau, TCLT5 has reserved some round trip tickets

with a group rate from the United Airlines. Participants of TCLT5 are encouraged to use the group rate tickets.

The latest date the travel agency can hold the group rate seats is Decmember 21, 2007. The group rate tickets

are limited and will be reserved/sold on a first come first serve basis. Please call the travel agency

as early as possible if you plan to attend TCLT5 and use the group rate.
