The 2006 Society of Composers Region II Conference will be held at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY on Friday and Saturday, November 10 and 11. Scores from all SCI members are welcome, but preference will be given to members of Region II.
The available performing resources include: a college chorus (app. 60 voices), a small college chamber choir, a jazz combo, a Javanese gamelan (pelog, no gender), a string quartet (the Clinton String Quartet), the Syracuse Society for New Music (flute, oboe, clarinet, soprano or alto saxophone, piano, percussion, violin, cello), and members of the performance faculty (piano, voice, cello, solo percussion).
Composers who can bring their own performers are strongly encouraged to submit works.
The submission of electroacoustic works (two-channels only), with or without video (DVD), and with or without soloist or ensemble, is also especially encouraged.
Each composer may submit one or two works from 3 to 20 minutes in duration. Submission must include:

Programming decisions will be made by the performers, in consultation with the composition faculty. Selected composers must provide all required performance materials; Hamilton College will not pay rental costs. Attendance at the conference is required of all composers whose works are selected.
