Crawling, Standing, Clapping,

and Generaly Looking Cute

Winter 2000 was an exciting time for the little squirt. We learned to smear peas over 70% of our face including the back of our head. We learned to get from the safety of the middle of the family room to the dangerous dog dish in less time than it takes to answer the phone.

We learned that mommy and daddy make funny expressions when the walk into a room and see our face well above the top of the crib. We discovered the joy of 'reading' books on our own, and with one wave of our hand we can reject those books that we don't like.

We even leaned to clap our hands. The latter we learned while mommy sung "When you're happy and you know it...". Charlotte put the song and action together all at once. If only she could teach daddy how to be cute.
