Preparation and Further Information

Anne Griffin ('01) and Carter Cox ('03) in The Seagull
To prepare for a concentration in theatre, high school students should study world drama, poetry and fiction in the classroom and, if possible, on stage. Although no previous experience is necessary, students should have a desire to engage seriously in the study and practice of theatre. For a concentration in dance, students should have some previous dance or sports training. Although dancers who aspire to be professional performers often have many years of training and experience before entering college, our program welcomes those with less formal training who have the desire and dedication to study dance.
