at Hamilton
Overview
In order to experience the full range of Japanese language courses and have the opportunity to study abroad with a Hamilton-approved program your junior year, you need to start taking Japanese in the first semester of your freshman year. A typical course of study for language classes would be as follows:

Japanese content classes are cross-listed with other departments, such as Asian Studies, History, Anthropology, Economics, and Comparative Literature.
To complete the minor in Japanese, you must take 3 language classes beyond Japanese 120 (e.g., 130, 140, and 200), one non-language course offered by the program, and another language (220 or above) or non-language course.
