The Answer to Studying Japan

Asian Studies is an interdisciplinary concentration. In the Japan track, you will learn how to study and analyze a variety of topics related to Japan, and to communicate your ideas and opinions clearly and accurately.

These goals closely correspond to the Educational Goals of Hamilton College.

Again, in learning about Japan you will not only gain knowledge about one important area of the world. Due to the complex web of technical, political, and economic interrelationships that make up the contemporary global economy, studying about Japan and learning its language will provide you opportunities to participate on international and even transnational stages.
