Class of 2016 Senior Art Thesis

ARTIST STATEMENT:

Not Theory

A knot is

a bond or

         a twist or

         a hitch or

         a theory.

Knot theory is the study of a closed, non- intersecting curve that cannot be untangled into a simple loop.

Knot theory is expressed through

a pigmentation or

         a hue or

         a saturation or

a color theory.

Not theory is an exploration of color, through the abstract representation of a knot that is conceptually a theory and number.
