Fitto (he/him/his) is a lifelong learner from Indonesia. He is currently in his second year studying philosophy at Gadjah Mada University. He really loves Metaphysics! He has a strong sense of curiosity and likes to learn new things. In addition, he also really enjoys coffee, music, and cats, even though he’s allergic to cats. For him, coffee, music, and philosophy books make the perfect combination!

Outside of school, she is a Writing Center Tutor and is involved in Nordic Ski Club, Red Weather Literary Magazine, and the Spectator.

He is from Fairfield, Connecticut, and enjoys listening to music and watching baseball and football. Doug has a strong desire to understand diverse viewpoints and contribute to intellectual discourse. He looks forward to making valuable contributions to the program.

Maria (she/her/hers) is a rising senior at Tulane University, studying Philosophy and International Relations. She was born in Spain, is half-Colombian, and now lives in New Orleans. Her main philosophical interests are Existentialism, Ancient Philosophy, and Hermeneutics. She is also the captain of the Ethics Bowl team. Outside of her studies, she enjoys traveling, playing the flute, drawing, and going to cafés!

Nick (he/him/his) is a rising junior at Hamilton College from Atlanta, Georgia. He is studying philosophy and government and is a tutor at the Writing Center. In his free time, he plays for ultimate frisbee for the Hot Saucers and co-hosts a radio show playing songs from his favorite movies.

Fatima is a rising senior at Habib University majoring in Comparative Humanities, and enjoys reading, writing and going on long walks. She wants to begin learning German, because most of her favorite authors have written in that language. It is also why she is interested in translation theory, and hopes to research it more after graduating.

He is interested in normative philosophy generally, and more particularly in ethics and epistemology; his favorite work of philosophy is "The Sources of Normativity" by Christine Korsgaard. In his free time, he enjoys reading, talking, and playing billiards.

Adeline (she/her/hers) is a senior at Wayne State University, where she is double majoring in English and philosophy and minoring in creative writing. Her research interests include feminist philosophy, gender and sexuality studies, affect theory, philosophy of language, aesthetics, and Marxist theories. She is a published researcher and poet, and when she is not in class, reading, or writing, she works as a teaching artist with a non-profit that brings creative writing to Detroit schools and as a research assistant in WSU's philosophy department. She enjoys weird (like really weird) poetry, trees, hanging out with her two cats, overpriced coffee, vegan food, and documentaries about niche subcultures.

Hailing from Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, Weiqi (he/him/his) is currently a sophomore at New York University triple majoring in Philosophy, Mathematics, and History, accompanied by a minor in Computer Science. His choice to delve into multiple disciplines stems from a firm conviction that to understand the Philosophy of X, one must intimately know X itself. He believes that Philosophy, instead of being an art of constructing fancy frameworks, is a subject of addressing specific problems with Analytical Scrutiny. Specifically, he is drawn to Metaphysics, Logic, Formal Epistemology, Philosophy of Language, and Political Philosophy. His personal motto is: “Philosophy is a Movement of Clarification.”

Amy is a rising senior at Grinnell College, majoring in Philosophy. While her philosophical interests are wide-ranging, some of her current main interests include Ancient Philosophy, Hermeneutics, and Existentialism. At Grinnell, she is a member of the Philosophy Student Educational Policy Committee, helping organize activities for students in and beyond the major. She believes philosophy is something to be lived, not done, and is always up for a good conversation. Outside of the classroom, Amy enjoys being in nature, reading, and exploring.

Ashley (she/her/hers) is from New Jersey, and is a rising senior at Hamilton College who is pursuing a concentration in philosophy with a minor in geoscience. Academically, she's interested in environmental ethics, sex & love, education, and women in philosophy. In her free time, if she's not reading silly little romantic comedies, she loves to frequent farmers markets, practice piano, stress bake, practice yoga, hike, and ski with her Hamilton racers. She also believes that a crucial piece of information is that her dog's name is Slippers.

Stephen (he/him/his) is a rising senior at Hamilton College, where he's majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Government and Religious Studies. He currently works as a Teaching Assistant for Hamilton College's Symbolic Logic course, as well as reviewing submissions for Book XI, a journal of literary philosophy. When he is not engaging in philosophy, you can probably find him running a club meeting, as he is the President of the Board Game, Star Wars, and People Who Like to do Fun Things clubs.

He plays some video games to keep in touch with friends from back home and is a big foodie who will try anything new at least once.

Hallie Young (she/her/hers) is a rising Honors Philosophy and Legal Studies senior at the University of Texas, Arlington. Justice is her goal and curiosity is her muse; Hallie's primary academic interests include biomedical ethics, legal philosophy, and identity theory. Outside the classroom, you will find her leading local pre-law organizations, writing for the UTA campus newspaper, competing in medical humanities debates, or operating a voice-acting business! Want to strike up a conversation? Hallie could endlessly ramble about artificial intelligence, puppy dogs, or contemporary pop culture.

Charissa Xin Zeigler (she/her) is a rising junior at UC Santa Cruz studying psychology and philosophy. She is 1/3 of a team helming a news radio show, enjoys creative writing when she should be studying and is really proud of her intramural basketball team the ‘Court Jesters’ which has been on an unbeatable losing streak. She’s super excited to be a camp counselor for fellow adoptees this summer and to learn more about her favorite topics--from virtue and community ethics to epistemology at HCSPiP.
