ARTIST STATEMENT

I want to highlight Black and Brown individuals from my community in the Bronx, as well as people I’m inspired by, through oil paintings. I am aiming to capture their impactful, dynamic presence with colors, lines, and layers in hopes of generating deeper conversations. 

I would like to thank the Kirkland Endowment and the Art Department for their generous support. I am grateful to the individuals I have painted and grateful to call Parkchester, Bronx my home.
